There is some presumption that the music is owned by professional musicians or academics only. Almost all the crevices of human life has been filled with music since a thousand years ago, and there’s no reason that music only being owned by specific level of people.

Enjoying music, of course different with playing music, above assumption might come out specific about orchestra music instrument such as saxophone, trumpet, and flute. But then these kind of music instrument not just being used for orchestra, but could be played in single. Today I’d like to review about flute, specifically in basic technique of playing flute.

Flute is music instrument that being played by blowing or flowing air through the instrument hole and making a good harmony out from it. Playing the flute requires breath regulation and the player should be in good health (not catching a cold).

The first basic technique is doing tuning. Do the tuning at A = 440 Hz (or 442 Hz) after installing your flute. The easiest thing to do this is by using a digital tuner.

Before doing some practice, first do some warm-up (heating) by sounding long tones one by one. Starting from the tone in the B octave down to the lowest C note. Then start again blowing B in the middle register tone to tone C in the middle. This exercise helps you to be able to blow a steady tone.

If you think those warm-up are not effective cause requires some times, you could also do a warm-up practice with playing a short song that you thing are easy to be played, do this for about 5-8 minutes. This warm up practice could help you master the song and the flute itself such as Gemeinhardt flute.

After warm-ups, you can try to practice scales (scale & arpeggio). Or play a chromatic scale which also help to train your fingers respond. Then, after practicing scales, you can begin to practice the song, etude, or you want to practice repertoire, its all up to you.

Everybody knew music, even when we were kids, the first song is hear by our ear, sang by our parents. The songs that make us sleep, song that calm us. Based on those facts we do know that there are relationship between music and health.

Medical therapy which are using music as a trigger for increase patients physical condition, including emotion and social for each patient individual. Thus the affect cannot be seen directly, but it is helping patient treatment.

Music stimulates the release of endorphin (a brain chemical that serves to cover the pain).
Music can also maximize the effects of visualization exercises, curing insomnia or trouble sleeping.
With music therapy, it can increase levels of melatonin (a brain chemical that encourages deep sleep).
Therapy with making music as a therapy of the bedtime ritual, also able to reduce stress.

In one research says that by listening to the music of the patients operated on and the patients and doctors involved in the operation will feel relaxed while doing their job. Also you might ever heard baby on their mother wombs, listening calm or instrumental music resulting on faster stimulation on the baby brain which are believed could made the baby more clever. Whatever it is, but we do know music have effecting on our lives, and that’s why we have to be selective on listening our music.

Knowledge could be earn from lots of resources, it could come from experience, school or college, books, and many other things. Learning from the root will give you bigger perspective and certain skills to equipped you in an area of interest. Basic knowledge combine with artistic and fresh ideas would make a big different. Basic knowledge could be gather from Photography Degree, or closer into it is Graphic Design Colleges.

Like any other field of interest, there always obstacle, but if you’re thinking those obstacle is just another challenge to beat, than success already in your hand. In fashion photography the key point is the object, which ended requirement of model, stylish and make-up artist, this might be quite hard for an amateur and became the biggest obstacle, especially if you’re not afford to hire them.

Here comes the challenge, but if you know how to handle it, eventually you could play some trick in here. Those expensive model, make up artist, and all those beautiful dresses wear by the model, could be minimize. If you have friends that could work together with you as a model, then tell her your condition, and if possible she could do her own make up and dresses, with a promise that you’ll capture a photo to remember.

In order to get good result, you got to be maximal. And fashion photographs are always fashion for product or commercial use only, but also emphasis on the concept and mood or strong expression. To get a photo or portrait of good fashion, getting to know each model characters is way more important. Its sort of making a chemistry between a model with the photographer.

The Renaissance is an important time period of history; the word means in French .rebirth. and is very appropriate to define the most spectacular historical age in Italy. Western Europe was also influenced by its main features, the revival of learning based on classical sources (Greek and Latin), and the raise of papal patronage, the development of perspective and great advancements of science. Albrecht Durer was the first to describe Italian art as .renaissance.. Giorgio Vasari, Giotto, Masaccio, Bruneleschi and Donatello are developing the painting art to the perfection. Leonardo da Vinci, great scientist, painter and sculptor, Michelangelo developed their awesome art on the desire to study the nature.

The Renaissance was a great period for music instruments. Renaissance music is represented by liturgical forms. Composers of sacred music began to adopt new forms, such as .madrigal. and use improved musical instruments of the Renaissance. Sacred new genres appeared; the madrigale spirituale, the laude, the mass and the motet. Instrumental music was composed for viol or recorder. Most popular genres were the toccata, the ricercar, the prelude, and the canzona. The great idea of polyphonies, the basic of today.s music, is coming from those great times.

The most important is that most of musical modern instruments have evolved form the musical instruments of the Renaissance. Many popular musical instruments, such as flute, oboe, trumpet, trombone and guitar can be traced back in the Renaissance. Wind instruments are really related to this period. Many musical instruments of the Renaissance were made out of wood, such as shawm, flute, recorder or sackbut. The shawm is the first oboe; it is also the ancestor of English horn and bassoon. All these musical instruments of the Renaissance were played with a double reed. The shawm produces really loud sounds, the kortholt and the dulcian too. All those musical instruments of the Renaissance are using a reed-cap and have a two and one half octave range.

The cornetts were also very popular during the Renaissance; all of them wee made out of wood. Today the trumpets are made out of brass. Musical instruments of the Renaissance such as cornetts coma in three types: the curved cornett, the mute cornett and the straight cornett. The recorder, the flute and the transverse wee also very popular during the Renaissance, because they were easy to play.

The transverse flute was the first musical instrument of the Renaissance where the vibrato can be used. Today vibrato is used on a large scale of musical instruments.
